How to reset a lost iBook/OSX root password

We found a Google cached entry on unplannedthought.com to be very valuable. But since the site seems to be down, I decided to mirror the instructions locally. Click here for the reset instructions. Very useful.

TransVision 2004

Transhumanism is a philosophical and cultural movement whose adherents affirm the use of technology to overcome the limitations of the human body.

Transvision 2004 will bring together thousands of transformational technology enthusiasts and is looking for sponsors.

Whether you're selling a product or service, or if you have a vision of a transformed future, or if you just want to a live longer, healthier life, sponsoring Transvision 2004 is a great idea.

Pushed to the Edge

The news on Chalabi is serious. The neocons' number one man leaked critical information to Iran. Perhaps this Chalabi incident hit close to home - because George Tenet has, simultaneously, retired from the CIA. And the way he did it was so unexpected and odd, unplanned, and right after a short conversation with the Australian prime minister, in front of a crowd of reporters. This is the same prime minister that just said "it is the worst time imaginable" for allies to waver on Iraq.

All of these events happened on June 3rd, a day that is proving to be a pivot point in the politics of war.

Despite rumors to the contrary, a watched pot does boil, and eventually, it boils over.

Ikea and Legend

Spent the weekend building Ikea furniture. Oh my god that stuff sucks. I tried to attach casters to the base of an Expedit bookcase before I realized tht the base wasn't even wood. It's partly plywood, but mostly laminated cardboard. That's right, I have a laminated cardboard bookcase. But it really looks good - which is why we bought it, so I guess it's ok.

Also, my brother got my to sign up and try this game, Lords of Legend. It's a turn-based massively-multiplayer game. It's really simple and free, so there's lots of players. Defensive and aggressive strategies both work. The most important thing is to never have any significany amount of money in your bank account, or someone will attack you. I guess that's a good life lesson. Kindof like owning cheap furniture.
